GoodGame Sharing Event
Thur 26 July 5 - 8pm
Thimblemill Library, Bearwood
You are invited to attend an fun and inspirational event exploring the GoodGame project, which has been taking place across Bearwood and Smethwick during this Spring and Summer.
Led by Ampersand Projects, GoodGame looks at the positive impact games can have on our lives, communities and the places where we live. The event will explore how games are more than just entertainment; they are valuable, engaging tools that can help build community connections, improve our wellbeing and encourage collaboration.
Activity has been taking place with residents and groups in indoor and outdoor community spaces as a way of bringing people together in new and unexpected ways. Artists Anna Horton Cremin, Gizzago, Jenara Miles & Betab Zena have been collaborating with different groups to create unique games for the area that can be shared and passed on.
The event will be an opportunity to experience and play new games created with the community, discover how using games might support your own work and hear from artists about their experience on the project. It will be a great opportunity to meet and connect with other community groups, organisations and leaders in the area.
The event is free, to book a place please visit our Eventbrite. All welcome.
GoodGame is supported by Creative Black Country and funding from Arts Council England’s Grants for the Arts and Big Lottery Fund’s Awards For All.
